Hello, Virginia Beach! I'm Stephanie, the new editor for Savvy Source Virginia Beach. I live in Chesapeake with my 2 and 4 year old boys, my long suffering husband, and 3 cats. I'm an attorney, but I now work from home running a legal research and writing business. I also run a part time portrait photography business, LightHearted Photography, and blog my heart out as Lawyer Mama.
A little over three years ago my husband and I moved down to Hampton Roads, with our then 8 month old, to escape D.C. living and traffic. We haven't regretted it a bit! We all know that Virginia is one of the best places to raise a child in the United States, but the Hampton Roads area is among the best of the best. Here, we have beautiful beaches, good schools, great neighbors and a real community. Not to mention, it's nearly impossible to run out of fun things to do with your children. When you've got energetic kids, activities are so important!
Over the last three years I've learned so much about the Hampton Roads area while searching for fun family activities and great outdoor photography locations. From family friendly restaurants and history for the little ones to the best beaches for kids, and the best rainy day fun stuff, I'll try to cover it all. But I know there's so much more to discover. I hope you'll join me as I discover more ways to be Savvy in Virginia Beach!
